Keeping Focus

Tammy Bradshaw-Scott · Jan 25, 2018 · Leave a Comment

With so many distractions around us, we can often lose sight of our purpose and the goals that we have set.  We can often become overwhelmed with responsibilities and commitments that eat away at our time!  We may also believe that everything that we are doing is necessary – we become busy with many tasks!

In order for us to achieve the goals – and live with purpose, we will need to narrow our focus to those most important tasks that are directly connected to our goals. God has placed desires within our hearts, and living those desires out, is the place that we want to be!  Again, we can easily become distracted with tasks and busyness, but does the busyness lead to where God is calling us – the purpose and desires he has placed in our hearts?

So today, assess where you are spending the hours in your day, and ask y9ur self if what you are spending your time doing is leading you to the path of what God has placed in your heart to do? Do you need to rid yourself of specific activities and busyness so that you open your time up for what God has called you to do? Certainly, we have opportunity to do a lot of good ‘Stuff’ everyday – but keep your focus on what is best and what will lead you to your goals, fulfilling God’s purpose for your life! Journey on my friend!

Improving Your Life One Day At A Time.

admin · Aug 29, 2017 · 3 Comments

In what ways would you like to improve/change your life? In what ways are you being held back from making these improvements/changes in your life?
Most all of us want to improve in different areas of our lives, such as, becoming more physically fit and healthier, experiencing more financial freedom and better job satisfaction, experiencing improved relationships with family and friends and having improved self-worth/self-esteem. When we consider making specific improvements in our lives we often see roadblocks in our way, and/or we get overwhelmed at the prospect of making those improvements/changes a reality.
I am going to say this very gently, but honestly, we are more often than not our own worst enemy – getting in the way of the changes and improvements that we would like to experience in our lives! We want to place the blame on God, others and difficult circumstances in our lives (trust me, I have had hundreds of folks over the years point everywhere but to themselves, ouch)!
One of my “Favorite jobs” as a clinician over the years has been to assist people in reaching their goals of improving their lives – on multiple levels! I would like to invite you to join me as I post weekly blogs on how to make change happen in your life so that you can experience the improvements that you have wanted to see happen! I am excited to share with you, and I look forward to reading your comments!
Blessings to you and yours,
Dr. Tammy
